Important information about our Aqua/Vapour Blasting services in Cambridgeshire

Important information

All parts must be completely stripped down

– Please remove all Roller, Needle and Ball Bearings, Shims, Springs, O-rings, oil seals and any other light press-fit or slip fit parts – however Plain Bushes, studs and dowels can be left in place – Painted components must be removed from engine casings prior to cleaning and must be reasonable degreased.

We are happy to provide a quote for removing bearings, studs and dowels as well as paint striping and degreasing if required.

Aqua/Vapor blasting will normally remove gasket remnants without to much trouble, but they can sometimes be very stubborn and prolonged soaking with softening agents and hand work is sometimes needed – Even Silicone sealant is difficult to remove as it’s resistant to all solvents - It is very difficult to pre-judge time needed to remove and there could be an extra charge.

Please phone or e-mail pictures for an estimate, prices quoted will be subject to inspecting parts when received but it’s rare for the price to increase, and you would always be advised first.

Whilst every care is taken to ensure there is no glass media remaining in your cleaned parts - We do advise that you rewash all parts again before fitting.

If sending parts by Courier please pack and pad extremely well, we recommend the use of double-wall corrugated card board box!! - Please make sure parts cannot knock against each other (Ideally wrap individual parts with bubble wrap and padding before packing in the main card board box) the same packing will be used to return your parts.

We take great care with return packing which is quite time consuming so we make a charge of £5 to £10 per box. (Postage or courier service is charged at cost)

In the unlikely event of damage or loss in transit, liability is limited to compensation paid by the courier.
